Our premium shirt of this season, the Headlong Into World Dominion model features the infamous Finnish dictator Urho Kaleva Kekkonen wearing a mitre. The recent history of Finland is vague and clandestine, especially when it comes to Kekkonen - who almost single-handedly won the Winter War - and the Soviet Union. Kekkonen is also known for eradicating the Presidential Moustache Institution. An idiomatic feature of this period is that even though the Finnish law states that one person can be a president for two six-year seasons, the reign of Kekkonen lasted from 1956-1982 - 26 years! At the time, no-one dared to question his power and even now it is still politically a suppressed and delicate matter. Even in 2002, a restaurant in Helsinki was forced to remove a picture of Kekkonen from their dining hall! The peculiar concoction of imagery celebrates the successful beginning of phase two of the homokaasu world domination plan.
